Common Concerns in Sex Therapy

Home Common Concerns in Sex Therapy

Do you feel hopeless in a sexless relationship?

Do you struggle to obtain or maintain an erection with a partner?

Do you want to orgasm more easily?

Does your sexual over-activity jeopardize your relationship?

Do you ejaculate more quickly than you’d like?

Does your sexual past haunt your current life?

Do you want to find more meaningful and passionate ways to reconnect with your partner?

If you have answered YES to any of the questions above, Sex Therapy is for you.

At the end of the day, being human means we are sexual beings with complex sex histories. These sex histories often include lifelong family and societal messages that can affect our sexual functioning, body image, and relationships. Sex therapy can help a person explore his/her past sex history and find solutions to enhance the present and future.

For individuals, sex therapy can help heal a sexually distressing past, facilitate sexual function, or explore psychological blocks preventing full expression of emotional and/or sexual intimacy in a relationship. For couples, sex therapy can help heal infidelity, enhance sexual and emotional communication, find new ways to reconnect, or explore alternative sexual expressions.

Individuals and couples often come to sex therapy with struggling with one or more of the following:
  • Affairs & Breaches of Trust
  • Anorgasmia & Orgasm Difficulties
  • Body Image
  • BDSM & Kink
  • Cancer & Intimacy
  • Communication Issues
  • Compulsive Sexual Behavior
  • Cross-Dressing
  • Delayed Ejaculation
  • Desire Discrepancy
  • Divorcing Amicably
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Gay & Lesbian Issues
  • Grief in Relationships
  • Intersex Identity
  • Low or Missing Sex Drive
  • Open Relationships
  • Parenting Issues & age-appropriate conversations about sex
  • Pleasure Enrichment
  • Polyamory & Non-Monogamy
