Daniel Lebowitz, M.A., LMFT

Daniel Lebowitz, M.A., LMFT is a bilingual sex therapist and licensed marriage and family therapist. Daniel has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University, and a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from University of Wisconsin. His license number is MFT 0001422.
Daniel and Dr. Jenni operate as co-directors at The Intimacy Institute, offering therapy separately and together in co-therapy sessions.
Daniel also focuses on grief and bereavement in addition to his work with couples and men. He offers men a safe space to explore their sexuality and redefine masculinity patterns that are not working for them.
Prior to private practice, Daniel interned at Judi’s House in Denver, a grief center for children and families.  Daniel is intimately familiar with grief due to the loss of his father when he was seven-years-old. Through his own path of learning and growth, Daniel became inspired to help others find the space to mourn, and learn from their life’s experiences.
As a boy growing up without a male role model in a society with complex and frequently unhealthy messages about men, Daniel understood the need for positive rites of passage and healthy masculinity. Before becoming a psychotherapist, he worked as a mentor for teenage boys struggling with addiction and behavioral problems. He enjoys helping adolescents and men develop an embodied and constructive sense of manhood.
When Daniel is not in the office, he enjoys life in the beautiful Front Range of Colorado. As an avid outdoorsman, he finds that the mountains bring life’s priorities back into perspective. His lifelong practice in martial arts has taught him about the humble path of the warrior. With a deep love for sustainable and healthy living, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, growing food and creating culinary art and adventures.
